Who is Dennis Minner and why have him at your event?

Dennis and his wife, Gennifer, are currently taking bookings and getting out information about a church they are starting March 2008 in lower New York City.  For more info on their church visit: www.theawakeningnyc.com.

Dennis Minner, born in 1973, was raised in a strong and conservative Christian home.  Dennis chose to lead another life as he went into his teen and college years.  Living with drinking problems, sexual addiction and then finally turning to drugs, Dennis didn’t realize, like Jonah, the drugs were going to swallow him like a big fish. High on drugs, Dennis realized that a life without Christ was one that no one should ever do without and realized that leaving everything in his past was the only way to survive. Dennis turned to Christ in 1998 with a commitment to God that he would spread a message of God’s amazing grace as he was delivered from his addictions.

Dennis and his wife, Gennifer, now live in Poplar Bluff, MO where he is a full time pharmaceutical rep for TAP Pharmaceuticals.  Dennis is also founder and owner of Wise Men Promotions, which is one of the webs largest music review sites based in Christian principals. Starting WMP also led into the found of
SIAN Clothing, which is an in-your-face clothing line for daring Christians. Dennis also is the founder and pastor of a college ministry, The Deep End, in his home church in Poplar Bluff.

Dennis and Gennifer, after a year of dealing with the death of their son Hunter David in February of 2006, is now in the process of planting a church in New York City.  They will be moving and entering the mission field by March of 2008. Dennis and Gennifer are planting a church to reach just some of the 19 million unchurched people of that city. Their goal is to reach those that have been or felt offended by much of mainstream Christianity.

Dennis now loves to travel the country sharing his testimony to teens and wandering souls with an in your face approach that is straight to the point and hits you were you need to be hit, in the heart. “Don’t take off your shoes!” is also a sexual purity message with a very vocal and clear approach on complete abstinence. Whether you are dealing with addictions or pride , Dennis has a message your group or event will benefit from.

Here is what others have thought after inviting Dennis to their event:

"Bold... Probably the one word that best describes having Dennis speak to our students. He unapologetically spoke the truth about his life and what he's been through but more importantly about the change that God made in his life. I believe his boldness became contagious and because of that we saw many students make a decision to be bold for Christ. He is real, relevant, and on fire for Christ and that's what today's youth need more than anything. Someone willing to be real with them about the difference Christ can make in their life."
Pastor Jeff Roth, ROCK Student Ministries, Mt. Vernon GB

"Dennis has the gift of communication flavored with good humor and wit. He has a way of making you laugh but at the same time a conviction that causes you to want to allow God to take over your life!"
-Youth Pastor Boyd Smith, First Baptist, KY

"We flew Dennis to Lynchburg recently and God worked!  Dennis has a truly
anointed message, and I believe it is something that all, yes all, young people, middle school and up, need to hear."
-James Roberts, Campus Crusades for Christ, VA

"On his behalf, I must say that I have never met anyone more energetic or fearless for the gospel....His talk was both spiritually profound as well as down to earth making for a "real" impact on the youth...I would recommend him for any ministry level.."
-Youth Pastor Nathan Coleman, First United Methodist Church, MO

"Dennis spoke openly about sex and cultural issues from a Biblical standpoint without watering down the gospel...We had over a dozen professions of faith and two dozen rededications. You could have heard a pin drop when he began sharing his testimony!"
-Youth Pastor Floyd Smith, Hillcrest Baptist, FL

"Dennis is a change from the usual; he is a change from tradition.  His humor, personality, spirit and in your face message is exactly what this generation needs!”
-Youth Pastor Ben Forbs, New Covenant Worship Center, AR

"His passionate testimony and his hunger to see teenagers brought to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is very evident in his ministry.  In our service we had 5 teenagers give their life to Jesus Christ for the first time and about 30 teenagers rededicated their life.  I do not only recommend Dennis Minner's ministry to other churches and ministry events but I hope to have him back in The Cage as often as possible!"-Youth Pastor Charlie Rosen, Abundant Life Assembly of God

"Because he has been through so much, Dennis is especially sensitive to a number of life situations into which youth can get themselves. God has blessed him with a power of discernment that is hard to fool.  Dennis has been led by God to launch a "speaking ministry." Many youth have come to Christ through Dennis' sharing."
-Pastor Byron Beck, Fellowship General Baptist, MO

"I recently had the opportunity to hear Dennis Minner share his testimony with a group of students at a church in Kennett, MO.  It was my observation, as a youth pastor of 16 years that Dennis connected very well with the students.  He has an in your face approach, not holding anything back and not sugar coating the message.  I would gladly endorse Dennis to come and share with any student ministry looking for a guest speaker."-National General Baptist Youth Director Pete White

"Dennis has reached more teens and young adults in our community and around the world than many could ever dream of reaching.  He is willing to go the distance and provide a forum to share the Word of God with as many people as possible."
-Youth Pastor Monte Brunner, First Church of God, MO

"Denny Minner is an awesome speaker.  We were privileged to have Denny speak to our secondary level students in our school chapel this semester and the kids loved him...He gave a very clear presentation of the gospel and the students and teachers alike were touched by the desire to life up Jesus Christ."
-Administrator Danette McCabe, Southern Missouri Christian School, MO
